Highland 2002500 Review: Highland 2002500 Universal Rear Mount Bike Carrier. I bought this bike carrier for my 1971 VW Squareback. While I was able to attach it to my car, I did not feel it was secure enough to stay on with the weight of a bike on it. The clips on the ends of the top straps were not designed well; it seemed like it wouldn't take much to pull the out from the hatch of the car. They should also have had a rubber coating on them.
